Nationwide, People are being pulled over for tinted windows.

But is that really why they are pulled over?

Once stopped by police, many have undergone searches. Some who have refused the search have been forced to wait until a K9 unit arrives to smell their car. Even if it is cold and dangerous on the side of a busy interstate, the police make them stand outside their vehicle while waiting.

What is the reasoning behind the laws and the stops? Tinted windows might make it unsafe for police officers who stop cars. A criminal might have a gun that can’t be seen through dark windows. But why then, would police pull over these “dangerous” cars that might be concealing deadly weapons without backup? If they truly believed these cars are hiding cop-killers, would they stroll up without guns drawn and without backup?

The videos clearly show that the police are not worried about being gunned down – they are on a fishing expedition. They use the law to get up close and personal with people in order to search them for drugs. The intensive questioning – “Where are you going?” “Do you have drugs in the car?” “Do you mind if I search? If you refuse the search we’ll call drug dogs!”
